Therapeutic Work at A Gentle Pace

Therapeutic support should never feel rushed or overwhelming.

A Gentle Pace is a structured therapeutic and professional wellbeing practice based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Sessions are calm, focused and grounded in evidence-informed practice.

Whether you are seeking therapy, professional wellbeing support, or specialist work for your child, the aim is always clarity, safety and steady progress.

Clear – helping you think clearly and move past unhelpful habits or patterns.

Calm – reducing stress and settling the body’s stress response.

Connected – helping you feel more like yourself again and focused on what matters.

These principles guide both therapeutic work and professional wellbeing sessions at A Gentle Pace.

Our Premises

A Gentle Pace is based within the grounds of the former St Michael’s Church in Newcastle upon Tyne, now home to The Lighthouse Project. Sessions take place in a private, fully fitted therapeutic yurt, designed to provide calm, contained and focused space for structured work. Where appropriate, sessions may also make use of the surrounding garden for purposeful outdoor therapy, particularly with children and young people.  This site is also the base for Family Mental Fitness North East CIC, a community interest company delivering structured mental health and wellbeing programmes across the region.
